While I was getting ready for work this morning I had the Today Show on NBC on in the background. In the opening news stories, right at the very begining of the broadcast, I hear
“Massive baby crib recall!”
So naturally I run into the living room to see what’s being said. Then I hear.
“This is very important…we’ll have more information later in the show.”
That was it. Wait a minute, what?! That was it? It’s very important and you’re on the air for the next 5 hours so you’re telling me later? Tell me now jackass!
So I got back to getting ready. A few minutes later they say it again.
“1,585,000 cribs recalled due to suffocation dangers.”
So, again I race back to the room. To hear this.
“We’ll find out later what brand and what you can do.”
Are you freaking kidding me? You can take all that time to tell me everything BUT the vital information?!
Chicken Little! Chicken Little! The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
You can argue all you want about “liberal” or “conservative” media and whether they’re biased or not. But the is no argument against saying the national media are a bunch of idiots. The gall to lead with a story like and not just say what needs to be said but instead bait the viewers into hanging on for later. Unbelievable. Do me and yourself a favor. Turn the “News” off today. Who needs it.
